    Warning horn 2201 225 ficht

    Good evening everyone,
Rigged the motor and ran great on the muffs for a minute or two (this is after I removed the penny from the pee hole) and my warning horn went off constant tone. I shut her down and looked at the system check and it read low oil. I thought low oil was a short beep every 10-20 second? Do I have two issues or is this the right warning for low oil. On a side note since this is a new to me motor I was planning on running the 100 oil for a while for the existing possibility of carbon. Is this a good idea or not?

    As always thanks,
    Tim

On all DI motors the horn will sound solid for 10 seconds no matter what the problem, the light will stay on until the key is turned off.

The SystemCheck warning procedures are for a 10 second horn and the appropriate LED to illuminate which will tell you whats wrong.

This has been around since the 1996 models.

For 1995 and earlier motors, the warning system was a series of different beeps.

To answer the wire question......If you want to use the after market temp guage......I would connect the sensor wire close to the temp sensor on the port head.
