    1999 Johnson 225 HO, lock-n-haul?

Will a lock-n-haul work on a 1999 Johnson 225 HO? I don't want to order one and have it not fit and there is nothing on their site about how to tell if it will fit a Johnson. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Anything wrong with your built in trailering bracket?

I guess I am missing something. What is the built in trailering bracket?

Trim the motor up, on the motor side of the bracket there is a bar that flips down. You flip it down and then trim the motor back down onto the stop. It is designed just for that. Free too.

Is that enough transom protection for a 1994 model Stratos? So far the transom has been rock solid but I figured with an older boat I should probably get some transom protection. If that bar will provide enough support then I will be thrilled!

Plus I have the motor mounted on a 6" jack plate and the weight of the motor is solely on the transom, that clip won't help spread the weight around.

It is item 37 yep that is what it is designed for. If you want to do something else then get a transom saver so you can bring the motors weight onto the trailer.

After breaking 2 transom savers, I started using the factory bracket, and haven't looked back.....on a 98 Sprint with 225 DI!
