    NEED HELP

    When changing spark plugs in a 2005 - 225 Direct Inject is it a must to index the spark plugs? I have tried getting them as close a possible but shy of buying new plugs, I cannot get them exact.

    They don't need to be exact. As long as you can get 'em in zone A or B, do not tighten. If they come into zone c then try on opposite bank. Do you have a manual?

    I do have the manual. Once tightened, most of them are very close to zone "B". however a few of them are just pased the line into zone A or C. I have tried different cylinders but not all are in zone B.
