Adapter cable for Xplore to use with shoot through hull and MSI transducers

I have a 2024 Skeeter that came from the factory with a splitter cable of some kind for the shoot through 2D and the transom MSI transducer to my Helix 12 G4N MSI. I'm going to need what ever Y cable to connect those two transducers to my new Xplore. I found this on HB 14 M ID SIDB Y - SOLIX / APEX Side Imaging & 2D Splitter Cable but I don't believe this is correct. The one that connects to my Helix now is a little connector with a wire connected to it.

That is the correct Y cable for a SOLIX/APEX/Xplore.

The Helix transducer is not 14-pin and if you want to use the shoot-thru, you have to use the AD 1429 adapter to change the 7-pin connection to 14-pin.
There is no cable to use the full SI/DI/2D/Temp of a 7-pin transducer.

Thanks Wayne but as usual I'm confused when it comes to these cables.

So, do I need both the HB 14 M ID SIDB Y and AD 1429 or just the AD 1429? I think I just need the AD 1429 since I believe I already have a cable like that but it works the opposite way?

You can only use the AD 1429 with the shoot-thru you have if you don't want SI/DI/Temp. It ONLY has the positive and negative circuits for a 2D piezo.

The 14 M ID SIDB Y has two female 14-pin plugs for two 14-pin transducers (Side Imaging and Dual Beam), it has a 14-pin male plug to connect to the display.
The ONLY way to connect the 7-pin shoot-thru transducer you have is to use the AD 1429 so you can connect it to the Dual Beam leg of the 14 M ID SIDB Y cable.

Otherwise you have to change the shoot-thru to XP 14 HW to have a 14-pin connection and also use the Xplore transducer.
You can also use any other transducers that SOLIX and APEX use.
Use this tool to see all the transducers you can use with an Xplore---
    Transducer Compatibility – Humminbird

The 2D splitter Y cable you use with the Helix is 9 M SIDB Y and has all 7-pin plugs for 7-pin #9 connector transducers.

Thanks again but now I believe I've messed up. I believe my current Helix 12 at the console is using the M 9 HW MSI T and from what I can tell it won't work with the Xplore?

That is what I have outlined. You have the XM 9 HW MSI T transducer==will not work with a SOLIX/APEX/Xplore.

The XP 9 HW (shoot-thru) will work with the Xplore IF you use the AD 1429. That is the purpose of that adapter to allow a #9 connector for 2D sonar to be used with a 14-pin transducer port unit either directly or via Y cable. Was first used with an ONIX so those with a number series shoot-thru 2D transducer changing to ONIX can use their already installed shoot-thru transducers and not have to replace it with a 14-pin 2D shoot-thru transducer.

Thanks again! Dummy me ordered the CHO unit so I will just return it and get the unit with the included transducer.

Definitely a lower cost getting the CMSI+ transducer with the unit rather than a separate purchase.

For sure, since the unit was already shipped, once it gets here I'll go to BassPro and either exchange it or have them refund my money and order the CMSI model. Now another question. Is there any possibility the new Xplore transom transducer will fit the existing metal bracket already screwed to my transom?

Yes same mount for the transom. The CMSI+ transducer is about 1" shorter---

Sweet! At least in theory it's only a cable swap plus the Y and adapter cables.
