The wife and I wanted something a few more people could sit up to in our rec room when we have friends over. Saw no reason to not just build our own.
Structure out of 2x4's and a few 2x8's
Paneling put on. We almost used wood planking but decided not to so we could be the weight down (its still all that 2 people can handle)
Glass tile down
Molding installed, and done
Not a serving bar, but more of a tall table to eat/drink at and usually watch people look stupid playing wii or xbox kinect
Planning to lay down either a long rug or some sort of hardwood squares to kind of section off the "bar area" in the future.
