    Tiling a shower stall

I am considering removing the current shower stall insert and tiling the entire area where the insert lays and up to the ceiling and possibly across the ceiling. What would be a reasonable amount to pay for this? I'm in the Knoxville, TN area.

    Thanks, Wally "FishinFed"

I just did mine myself, but not the ceiling. When all was said and done I spent around $400 on all materials needed which included tools. My tile was a 6X6 which cost me .86 cents each with a few variations of that tile in a decorative version for $1.30 per. aside from the tile my money was spent on the wet saw, the mastic thinset, grout, hardiebacker, and sealer. I used a mastic that dries faster then regular thinset so it would set up faster.

Just giving you an idea what I paid for a similar scenario to do it myself so you can compare to what someone might quote you.
