60 degree block versus 90 degree block

I have a seloc outboard repair manual, and was wondering the answer to this question. If you had two omc 150 outboards, and one was a 60 degree and the other was a 90 degree which outboard would be stouter due to the engineering design? Would the 60 degree be able to turn rpms faster than the 90 degree? I am just curious.

I have heard for stock versus stock the 60s is stouter, but the 90 can be made stouter and for less money than a 60.

Re: 60 degree block versus 90 degree block (rude power)

engineering speaking, is it easier for a piston to be forced downward inside the cylinder if it is more or less closer to the center point of the engine maybe?

My understanding is the 90* block will produce more bottom end grunt hence the big blocks are still 90*....The mods may SMACK me on this one.......

I dont think the angle of the rods has any bearing on power output, if everything is the same except the angle, then power will also be the same, the angle was changed to make the motor narrower, a 90 degree motor is a very wide beast by comparison.
