2lbs ground beef
egg
onion finely chopped
fav bbq sauce.
your favorite hamburger seasonings
several Pickles sliced into lengthwise quarters
1lb BACON!!!!
Take meat and mix egg and seasonings and finely chopped onions. the egg will make meat softer when cooked. add some of your fav bbq into it. I use a-1 with success for this.
make meat into a thin patty the size of your hand. lay a slice of pickle in the middle and roll the patty around it and then pinch at the seam making a nice little package around the pickle. then take a slice of bacon and wrap it around the roll and hold in place with a toothpick all the way thru. it should make between 10 and 12 rolls.
you can grill them on a gas grill but watch for burning as that bacon is flammable. I smoked mine at 220 for 1.5 hrs and they came out Perfect. just cook till hamburger is all done. serve with a-1 or ketchup
