Keep Tackle Box Dividers From Slipping Out

Having the adjustable dividers lift out of a Plano box, etc. when you're taking something out of them is a pain. I've been adding a small piece of masking tape to both sides of the keyed portion of the divider to lock them into place. You can still remove the divider to change where they're at, but they're not going to slip out of place when you brush a finger against them.

What has worked best for me is to cut a piece of tape not quite twice as wide as the divider and then place it on the "key" so that you can tuck it into the sides of the key and then fold it down at the bottom of the key so the tape doesn't get pushed off when you install it.

Give it a try - it'll probably save you some "quality time" untangling lures and cussing, and sorting weights and cussing, and sorting hooks and cussing.

Next time try a dab of hot glue at the top of each divider. That works for me

That is what I do. Easy to get the divider out, too if you have to.

Have to try the masking tape, too.

I'll have to give the hot glue a try. It would be a lot faster than the tape, though I do like how the taped ones work and some of the hot glue tends to break off of things?
