    glue in carpet! Need help!

Dad and i were putting carpet in our boat yesterday when we got a little glue on the carpet. Does the glue eventually after being swept come out or are there something special you can put on it that will make it come out? The carpet is brown any advice would be greatly appreciated.

VERY CAREFULLY take some acitone on a rag and dab it on the glue making sure you dont put to much to actuall soak into the carpet and go through to the back side. Let it site for a minute and then gently wipe it away. You might have to do it a second time . But I stress dont put to much on the rag just enough to get the glue wet with it. I used to do it all the time whe I did carpet jobs for work. You just have to take your time. The acetone will brake the glue down and come off easy. But again dont get the carpet wet enough with it to where it will wick through to the back side.
    Good luck.

If you 'freeze' it with some dry Ice you can break it off in little chunks with out having the risk of bleaching the fiber or loosening the glue.
