    Fuel Line ???

Would type A1-15 fuel line be a good replacement fuel line ??? It is a Sea Sense hose sold at Walmart & says it is alcohol resistant. 4 braid hose & the inner braid is pure rubber it says. Was wondering if it would be a safe replacement for use with ethanol gas ??? Thanks

I've seen posts here about fuel lines before. I think most of the experts here will only recommend fuel line manufactured by Evinrude. See web site below. It's probably your best bet - may cost you more, but rest assured it's what your engine recommends.

By the way I will be ordering this and putting it in over the winter. That way I'm good for next season.

For those who may be replacing fuel hoses, the new EPA hose is alcohol resistant and is also mandatory for newer boats and motors. Here is an excerpt from the law.

    ===============================

The U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
has issued regulations requiring that all outboards
and boats manufactured after January 1, 2009
must be assembled with fuel hoses that meet specific
    permeability limits for evaporative emissions.

Failing to follow these instructions when installing
a certified engine in a vessel violates
federal law (40 CFR 1068.105 (b)), subject to
fines or other penalties as described in the
    Clean Air Act.

In order to comply with this regulation,
    outboards should use low permeability
    fuel hoses as follows:

    • Use SAE J30R9, or USCG Type B1-15, fuel
    hose in motor well areas.

    • Use USCG Type A1-15 fuel hose between
permanent fuel tanks and motor well fittings in
    inaccessible routings.

    • Compliant hoses are labeled with the applicable
    specification and date code.
