    Trolling Motor Transducer Protection

Having recently knocked a transducer off of my trolling motor, I decided to quit being lazy and to come up with a way to protect the transducer so hopefully it doesn’t get knocked off again. Yes there are a lot of versions out on the market but they are more than I wanted to spend. So I have about a 3$ solution. I took a 4” angle bracket then, I bent the bracket to the desired angle. Once I had the angle right I cut each side to the desired length with a hacksaw and then I used a grinder and file to round off and smooth the cut sides. Sprayed on some Rustoleum paint I had lying around and fastened it on with a band clamp. Total investment a little time and about 3$ since I had the paint.

Senkoman after seeing you transducer guard I went to work to make me one I went to Lowes and looked at the "L" like you used but purchased a piece of flat steel for $4.++ and make about 6 of them So "Too Tired" Bland, RB and alot of the other bassbums are using the Senkoman Transducer Guard. I did use two hose clamps, and son it will take a Chowan River knee to do damage Gread idea and yet so simple. I looked on line at the guards start a $20 and up not a simple as easy to do. Good job I may event let you have a touch of "Too Slows" magic starting fluid in the boat room cooler
