    6" Hi Jacker Manual Jackplate?

E-mailed a friend about trying a Renegade prop. He has access of a 6" hi-Jacker jackplate. I have raised the motor up approx 1" little change. Would adding a 6" jackplate make the difference from 52-54 up to 60-62 @ 52-5600 rpm (Guessing speeds and rpms).

Not a fan of the Hi-jackers. Look for something better. A Rapid Jack would be a good choice.

Fred, I really am not looking to purchase a jack plate. I just asked this friend if he had a variety of props I might be able to try to find one that might add to the performance of my boat.

i plate will help, but i dont think it alone will get you from low to mid 50's to low to mid 60's, also..you'll get less top end with that 4 blade Renagade prop.

    no, JeffA I have a 3 blade Raker prop. It was a 14 1/2 X 24P reworked to approx. 25P

Butt it may lift the Azz of that 283. They are about as easy to set up as a Champion 204.

yeah, my 273 handled better with the Renagade prop, but was 2-3 MPH slower then my Raker.
