    Never sieze your nuts - - -

Bought another boat and was checking it over, which included the trailer and brakes. Trying to get the lug nuts broke free was a real chore. Musta been years since the wheels were removed. Actually broke my 1/2" drive breaker bar on one of the lug nuts. So when I put them back on I put some never sieze on the studs, which lubed the studs so the nuts spun right back into place, torqued them up, and the next time I need to remove a wheel it should be easy. Also good idea to do your tow vehicle's wheels if you submerge them when launching or reloading your boat.

I've been fortunate and have yet to had mine sieze. God help me if that ever happened, I'd die.

I have always been told to never lube or use anti seeze on lug nuts on any vehicle because they will loosen up. I used to do it and was told by a mechanic it was a bad idea. Think I will ask LYN on the trailer/towing board. I would keep a close eye the them for a while. Just my .02 worth.

They won't loosen, but you can over torque them because the torque specs are for dry threads only. Allows you to over tighen the lugs, and can bend disk brake rotors or cause a lug bolt to break.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
    nothing else matters.

Gee, Bruce, why didn't I think of that?!
My tire dealer told me to do that when he installed the four new Marathons on my trailer.
And as far as over torquing, that's what a torque wrench is for.
