Sometimes I have a hard time getting pork chunks off of my jigs because of the barb. I have found that if you take one of those little coffee stirrer straws and push the end up over the barb the pork will slide right off.

Thanks. Those pork trailers get expensive after you tear them and have to keep buying new ones. I have some that i have been using for months after figuring out how to get them off without tearing them up. Maybe this will help a few guys save a dollar or two to put gas in the boat with.
Good tip. I use pork and will be borrowing some of those stirrers from the next coffee shop I stop into.![]()
Porks are easy to take off if you know the secret how. You don't need any tools or other devices. Simply hold the pig in your left hand; jig hook in your right hand with hook barb pointing down; turn the hook 90 degrees towards you (jig and pig should now be in a "L" shape); push hook away from you and pull hook up while still pushing away. Hook will easily come out.
