Several years back my father and me started making spinnerbaits. We now live in different states but both still make them for private use, private sale...etc. Being as I fish them a good bit...and usually have on hand several hundred. I wanted to devise a way of storing them more user friendly. I got tired of rummaging through bags on my boat or placing each one I kept in lil ziploc bags...etc. So in my boat i first had to build rod holders then I found a wooden dowel rod thick enough to hold the weight of several hundred spinnerbaits. Fastened the dowel rod in the holder and began hanging spinnerbaits on it. It held a ton of spinnerbaits. But then I realized it would send spinnerbaits all over the bottom of my boat if I had no way to fasten them down, the first good wake I hit. Well rubber tubing fastened at both ends work great! Fasten it with enough tension to hold your spinner/buzz baits in place but still loose enough you can simply lift it up a little to slip that bait out of there. Seeing as there was space for umpteen rods and I only had/have six, I had plenty of space in there. I'm betting this would work really well in a tournament setup as well. Because you could in a sense lay out all of the baits you would think to use on the pole and have them readily available to grab. Just a tip for you to think about/try. Any feedback/improvements would be great!![]()
