For those of use who's name is not Denny Brauer or Greg Hackney who seem to be flawless in there flipping/pitching presentations.........I have tryed a way to practice & keep my technique in decent shape.
I was thinking of ways to practice & have used cups, duck tape rolls & other things but thought of this.......................why not use something that is highly visable yet makes a noise to let you know if you "Plopped" the bait too hard on the target. Some of us practicing in the the driveway have no way of knowing if entry was soft enough not to spook a fish.
I used Blue Rock!!!!! Yes Shooting clays/pigeons. I will get 3-5-10 of them out & set them in various places as targets to flip/pitch too.
1) Face up they are Highly visable...either Orange or yellow.
2) They make a nice "tink" noise when you get bait on it & louder if hits too hard.
3) You can go to local shooting area to see if you can find any 'unbroken' ones.....or just ask for some from freind. You can buy a box for $5 too![]()
I have used this & seems to help me improve by technique with practice & allows me to be more suttle with entry.
Hope this helps someone out![]()
