2009 200HO No Oil alarm

ETEC 200HO E200DHLSE #05250512 2009, bought 2/15/10
I was 5 miles down the lake after blast off yesterday fishing the Federation state championship when the "No Oil" alarm and light went on. It shut me down to limp home mode, I checked the reservoir cap and bulb, cap was tight, bulb was hard. I pulled the cowl, oil was in the lines. Oil tank was 7/8 full. I caught a small limit then limped to weigh in and called the dealer, they told me to squeeze the bulb hard to force oil in and then start it up, alarm still sounded but now a lot of oil was in the exhaust and sounds like it fouled the plugs, I'm hauling it to Spokane Wa. in the morning, any suggestions as what may have happened? It may be a false alarm, it may be an air bubble, or it may be an oiling problem.

Best to see a dealer. If you want to try just one more thing, perform the winterizing procedure just incase it is an errant bubble floating around.

I got a call today that I have a bad EMM and Evinrude will send out a new one when mine arrives. Mike

Now that is very rare, I hope they did a good job troubleshooting.
