Hot Foot

Going to install hot foot. How hard is it to install

i'm looking to, my dealer wants $500 parts and labor!!..

Step 1. Procure Hot foot.
Step 2. Procure drill and bit
Step 3. Procure masking tape and wrap drill bit approx 1" from pointed end to use as depth gauge.
Step 4. Procure control cable 2' longer than currently installed cable.
Step 5. Procure needed stainless steel wood screws if not included with Hot Foot purchase.

Step 6. Place hot foot in boat at desired location but moving it 3" from the side of the hull to the left.
Step 7. Drill holes to mark on drill.
Step 8. Disconnect current throttle cable and coil in battery compartment in case of emergency leave cable attached to control box.
Step 9. Run new control cable from motor side to hot foot and attach to hot foot.
Step 10. Secure hot foot to floor of boat.
Step 11. Adjust newly procured cable to throttle linkage and adjust to correct distance.
Step 12. Go to lake and enjoy.

You forgot 1 step!!!
Step 13. Return home from trip to lake and repair the holes you drilled through the bottom of the boat because you were too close to the side of the hull.

A lot of procureing, sounds a little obscene.

Don't forget to shift into gear,"BEFORE" you give it throttle.
