Came across a old Post in the Rod and Reels Forum about what to use to strip old line off a reel. So I figured I would post this here. Instead of spending money on a line striper here is a easy way. Take a long bolt with two flat washers. Then take a old fishing line spool thats empty ( the tall big round ones work the best, like the kinds salt water line comes on ). Run the bolt through the first washer and then top to bottom on the spool, then put the other washer on the bottom and a nut to hold it all in place. Once you tighten the nut down place the end of the bolt in your cordless or corded drill and tighten the chuck, make a few wraps and let it wheeerrr. Thier you go easy home made line stripper that holds all the line in one place.
May have been posted beofre but I dont know.
