    Rattle Traps seeing Red!

All the talk about red hooks got me thinking, I love to fish rattle trap type baits, but not looking to replace or paint all my hooks red, with Sharpie or red die. I took a couple traps one in chrome and one metalic shad color and colored the rear tip about 1/8 " with a red sharpie. I imediatly noticed increased hookups. Some of the bass were following the bait right to the shore and wacking it, instead of swimming off.. Give it try.

I'd try a big red spot right over the front hook. If you believe the hype about red, try to attract the fish to hit the front hook instead of the rear for more consistent hookups.

I like to take a chrome trap and dip the whole thing in red Lake Hawk plug dip.Its a crazy and bright color.Works great in muddy water and in the spring or anytime they will eat that red lure
