I recently purchased an o8 Basscat Cougar FTD WITH AN O8 Merc pro xs. This motor is still under its factory warranty however it runs out in Sept.2012. The powerhead is brand new (replaced this past Oct. ) Merc said there is no extended warranty available and that I should check with aftermarket warranties.Do you ,or anyone, have any info pertaining to this. We do have one company that offers an "add on" warranty. It would start when the factory coverage ends, for an additional 2 years. Great company and solid people to work with. What year is your engine? With the end that close, to add the the new, you would need to act this month. The other option is to add a used and that would give more time.
