    Looking

    I finally talked the wife into letting me buy my first boat. Is there a age limit on a used boat that you would finance. I'm having a hard time finding any information on used boat loans. Thanks for your help!

    Most lenders have a 10 model year old limit. We do have one lender that has a "classic" program that goes to 15 years but the interest is a bit higher. Depending on where you live, we do have a couple regional lenders that will look at them on a per deal basis. being a strong buyer helps with them. Have you found a boat yet or what are you looking at. You will find an application at http://www.reclending.com. Good used boats are selling so keep us posted.

    Thanks for the response. I was just trying to figure out where to start looking. I haven't been looking at anything in particular, knowing what I do now, it will probably be sometime before it actually happens. Gotta continue saving!
