Painting trim pieces 03 Ranger 519VX

I hate the cheesy woodgrain dash and trim pieces on my ranger and found someone who willaint them (auto paint) to look like the new z boats. Anyone have tips on how to get the glove box door off? Will send pics before and after when I get it done!

I am planning on doing my 03 519 as well. Im so sick of that ugly woodgrain. lol I looked at my glove box and figured a person would need to drill out the rivets to remove the cover. Once the cover is off simply empty the insides of the rivets out, paint the cover and rivet the cover back on. Be careful not to crack the cover when installing rivets, they pull pretty tight together. You might be able to stick some washers in place behind the holes wher the rivets go. Just my 2 cents. G

Re: Painting trim pieces 03 Ranger 519VX (tc080)

Had a local guy paint all my trim pieces with auto paint, clear coat, came out nice. The hard part was getting the dash gauges out and back in! There were 10 pieces and he gave me a fair price of $250 for sanding, priming, and painting all of them. I had to drill out the rivets on the glove box and screw it back in place. Will try to post pics.
