    ****RUB RAIL BLACK LIGHTS DIY!!****

idk if this has been posted or not but I found this video very helpful and thought I would share it. U can save about 500.00 dollars by doing them yourself.

Nice video. Exactly what I am planning on doing, only I plan to be a little more accurate with the drill and use a wood bit with a point on the front. The guy in the video was a little rough with the force and his holes were not perfectly in line due to using the wrong bit for the job.
I plan on using something like this, which should make is much more accurate.

I would take the rail out and fence it through a drill press.

And yeah, the drill press is the best idea for sure.

Call Scot at nightfishion for the specs on his but I've experimented with all of them and I will say Scot at nightfishion is a top notch guy who will shoot you straight. I ended up with the nightfishion system and I tried superbright and oznium. Scot has a 3yr warranty; his LED strips are more rigid. You'll find on the other two that when you're pushing them through the pre-drilled holes you need to be extremely gentle. If not then the circuitry in the lights will snap b/c they're only soldered together.

Two different animals.....Blue Water LED and Nigh Fision Solutions.

Mikes are normal LED's where asw Night fishion solutions are black lights for night fishing.

I have both kinds on my rig and have used the NFS lights for fishing at night and they do work as well as advertised Also depends on how many strips you put on your rig. Right now I have 3 strips of black lights and one moon glow on each side which are separate switches. They work great and I have hit docks with them (sense I fish alone) and has not bothered them at all.

WFLB96 are not ultra-violet so if you wanted to use them as a blacklight i dont think they will work, I am going to order SNFLS-x30 these come in ultra violet and should work to make my line glow. @15 bucks worth a try better than a 100$

It states on their website as follows:
WFLB series 96-LED Waterproof Flexible Light Bar:
NOT SUITABLE FOR AUTOMOBILE APPLICATIONS - Waterproof. This I do not understand. WFLB-UV96 UV-Blacklight
It also states that the SNFLS-x30 is not waterproof.????
Question: Has anyone talk with anyone at this site to see how these LED's compare with the ones that they use on the Punisher LED Blacklights or the Moonlites or the Nucli Eyes.
I am looking also for LED's to try and make my own light. Not really wanting to put them in my rubrail, but want to just try and make my own. I don't really fish that much after dark anymore, so I am having a hard time justifying spending that kind of money for those types of lights. I am sure they are probably worth the money. If I fished a lot after dark, it would be a different story, but I don't.

Still have the question. Are the uv blacklights from SuperbrightLED the sames as or close to the same as NFS lights they put in their rubrails?
Again, what I am looking for a is a strip or several strips that I can put in my own homemade box. Wanting to keep it kinda of small like the monnlite.
In the end, if I can't from here to there, then I may have to settle for one of the above lights.
