SS Prop for a 98 Faststrike 115 hp?

I have a 1998 Johnson Fast Strike 115 hp on my 17'6 fiberglass boat. Right now, I just have an aluminum prop. With just me, gear and gas onboard I can get up to 46 mph. I have a couple questions:

    1. What could my top-speed be, as well as other benefits, if I get a SS prop?
    2. What type of prop and pitch should I be looking for?

    Thanks for the help!

Depending upon many things a prop in the 20-23P could work. What RPMs are you turning at WOT. Is a water pressure gauge hooked up? Lots of questions to be answered before you can be helped a lot.

    1. Too many unknown variables to give an accurate answer..."around" 50's ish + or - I would guess

    2. A 22 Raker...they come with a 13 or 15 spline hub. I am pretty sure the gearcase on 150 HP and up is 15 spline and 115 HP or lower is 13 spline. Count the splines on your current hub. I would bet it is a 13 spline.

What kind of boat? Bass boat, runabout, aluminum V-hull. Boat's weight? Normal load estimate? Current props pitch and diameter?
