15 HP Johnson starting cord won't return in

The starting cord won't return in, there seems to be some spring back but not enough for the rope to return in.
Is this a easy fix?

A new recoil spring should fix you right up.

it is an easy fix, but it can be tricky, not difficult, sometimes (but not often) the spring just comes unhooked and will not wind up when the cord is pulled, but usually it is a new spring that is needed.

it was alittle tricky, but we got it done
