What years/models/hps of Evinrude/Johnson ECMs will fit a 99 Evinrude 225 FICHT?
I need a good computer to have reflashed, need to know what will work and what wont.

I need a good computer to have reflashed, need to know what will work and what wont.
I brlieve the air cooled ECU was only made in 1999 for the 200 and 225, same ECU different programs.

It is water cooled.....Im sure of that.... Anyways, what year and model ECUs will work guys? Theres one on ebay for a 99 200hp, Ive got a 99 225hp... WIll this one work? Thanks!!!

Go to the Evinrude web site and look up the part number to your computer. You will need to know the model number to your motor. Then see if the person with the computer for sale has the model number to the motor that the computer came from. Look up the part number and see if they match.
My boat is currently in the shop getting the ECU replaced with a new one. I have a 1999/ 150 and there are two different computers used on the 150s. It all depends on when the motor was produced. One of the computers was called compensated and the other was non compensated...whatever that means
I have been told that DFI technologies was good at reprograming computers. When they had my computer they said they could not get it to duplicate the problem I was having on a bench test. My boat has been at two different certified Evinrude mechanics one of them has a master certification and both said I have a bad ECU. It cost a lot more to buy a new ECU than to get my old one reprogrammed but that what I had to do to get back on water
I plan on calling DFI and see if they will buy my computer for a core fee. Maybey they can reprogram it and sell it to somebody... If that does not work anybody know where I can sell a bad computer
