Just received mine for the front and back deck and was wondering if anyone has any close-up pics of where you drilled the holes. Just looking for ideas. thanks. Todd

Todd, It depends on where your placement will be. Depending on how far that bow panel comes around the sides, you may not even want to drill. I have a guy with a Ranger who just ran his wires right into the corners of the bow panel and placed the lights further forward. And actually, the lighting is really nice when on the front deck at night. We put a dimmer on them so they were tolerable to leave on while idling to another spot.
Personally, I dont suggest placing them that far forward. They are BRIGHT! If I had to do it again, I would have mounted mine further back.
I like the dimmer idea, never thought of that.
Few if any boats down here have LEDs ( I am trying to change that Mike!) so when I have mine on I glow blue. You hear boats coming, then slow down to investigate, then speed back up. It is almost comical bc I know what they are thinking.

I would not put them up there without the dimmer for sure.
Tell me more about a dimmer. How and where?![]()
I am currently trying to find a more suitable dimmer that does not need modification, but radio shack has a dimmer that will work well. The only problem with this dimmer is that the control handle is long. I would take a hacksaw and cut it down and put a control knob like the ones you find on flashers to make it look good with your other controls.
The part number is 7J2. 7G2 works well also. They can be had for around $3.
I'll check it out. LED technology is amazing. Low power and long life!! What more could you ask for!! Thanks Mike![]()
Got 'em in.....they look awesome! Put two up front..way up front and two on the curve on the transom and 2 under the consoles replacing the existing white lights. Neighbor said the boat is a "red light district" now. Cool, cool, cool! Gotta get the truck done now!!!!!!
Working on it Mike.....will try to get something up tomorrow. I am impressed. Will order truck kit Tuesday if you are ready! Love this stuff! Thanks Mike!!!![]()

We'll chat about it on Tuesday Todd. We can get things order and I will ship to you asap. Thanks!
mine are right at the front and right at the back. I won't be using them for running at night especially since what happened this weekend.
Long story short, party at a friend's place on a river I've never been to. Cannot launch from there, only up river. Thankfully I had my GPS on with tracking lines. Party was over and it was pitch black out so I had to run up river to get the boat out, about 20 minutes. I could only run about 20mph with my flashlight in hand and trying to follow the track on my gps. All of a sudden there's a boat in front of me with no lights on![]()
scared the crap outta me....probably them too but I think they were busy doing something else if you know what I mean.....never again
I have 2 seperate switches, 1 for front and 1 for rear deck lights. so I just drilled a whole where I wanted them (LEDs) insert the wires and sealed it with silicone. Connect the wires and TADA, I might order more for the mid section or cabin area if you will.
Thanks Mike!!! The yellow LEDs look awesome. Will get pics when I get a chance.....
Todd they look Awesome![]()
