Need a little help decarbing and 03 200 HO

I have read everything on the Evinrude forum I can find about decarbing. There are a couple of things Im still unsure of. When I remove the intake cover do I just spray the BRP tuner into each throttle body while the motor is running or should I open up the throttle bodies, spray into each and then start the motor? I figured if I sprayed for 3 to 5 seconds on each throttle body while its running, by the time I got to the last one the Tuner would have already of been burned out. If I do need to run it while spraying should the motor be shut off immediately, 2 seconds later, 5 seconds? Does it matter? Any other help is appreciated. Thanks, G

This is what I do: Start the motor, warm it up, shut it down. Get everything ready including your spray can and a spark plug wrench. Remove the air cover so you can see the throats and start her back up. Spray into each throat working one at a time until it is almost stalling out. Tell your neighbors not to call the Fire dept. Go through about 2/3 of the can this way then shut it down.

Remove plugs and spray remaining 1/3 into holes. Replace plugs and wires and let it sit for an hour. Start it back up and let it run for 15 minutes or so until it stops smoking. Go to the lake and run it WOT to clear the rest.

Once you get back from the lake then change and index the plugs.

Not to high jack this post but the area I live in is idle ONLY so I am not able to run the motor at any speed at all while in gear. Would running it at a higher rpm in neutral do the same thing?

Let it sit 8 hours with the tuner in it. One hour isn't long enough to do any good. You don't have to run in gear or even in the water. Just have water running to the motor and start it up (with a DFI it is good to be in the water) and run the motor up to 1500 RPM for about 5 minutes. That is plenty of time to blow the junk out. REMEMBER don't apply engine tuner on a concrete drive way or the junk coming out will stain the crap out of it. Once you are done with the blow out of junk install your new plugs.
