I have had my boat about three years and before i bought it the lower unit had been painted black. It was jsut a dull metal finish beofre. Im curious is there a simple way to strip the paint form the lower unit. Reason for doing is the paint has chipped and starting to peel off.
Any liquid paint stripper applied with a disposable brush will remove it within minutes. You can buy it at walmart or any hardware store. after you're finished you can go nuts and wetsand and polish it to a mirror finish. They look great if you put the time in. You'll even feel like the boat is faster!
