need some resin for my Flippin Deck?? no clue what to get

fellas i been workin on my old Bass Cat and going to be building a flippin deck for it. i need some resin to waterproof and strengthen the insert im building. im building it out of 3/4" treated plywood but want something to make it a little stronger. i saw on the other thread where some suggested using Uscomposits to get it...but i looked and i have no clue what to get. i would assume Epoxy Resin but even that there are quite a few choices and i dont know the diffrence in them all...can someone give me a hand with getting this stuff

Some say that resins do not adhere well to the pressure treated ply. I believe that the ply must be dry of the teatment liguid.

you can use epoxy. It will coat the wood better and seal it too.

no... http://www.uscomposites.com/epoxy.html the 635 thin epoxy system 3:1 epoxy would be what you need to just coat the wood assuming you will be working in a heated garage. Probably wont need a full gallon but may as well order one gallon. You could also use the 435 polyester resin and some 1.5 ounce chop strand mat instead. Treated ply wood isnt ideal but if thats what you have then go with it. Read some more on this board lots of info on here. Only a flipping deck so any way you do it should work out ok.

easiest just to call uscomposites to order stuff and they will answer any questions and help you out figuring what and how much you need. I hate to give all this free advertisement to non bbc sponsor uscomposite.com but thats who I used for my boat and they worked out great.

found that stuff on their website and saw that same stuff. was planning on getting 1/2 gal to see if that would be enough. hate to spend the extra $$ to get a full gallon and not use it all since $$ is pretty tight right now

Luke epoxy resin if very brittle to get the strength you need you need to add some fiberglass cloth then epoxy it. You can get away with 1/2" plywood by using the cloth and resin and save weight. Jamestown distributors has the epoxy sealer and you can get the 2 part resin at Lowe's/ Home Depot for around $30.00 per gallon. Get a stick on pad sander for your electric drill to smooth it out. No need to go with the marine plywood.
