me and my vst
upon reading champions response i did some investigating and this snapped into my head. with my motor off and airbox removed, i pump my fuel bulb and can see and hear air bubbles at the fuel line/fuel filter junction. (the fuel filter connection where it attaches to hose is clear) after reading some about the vst, it looks like there could be a problem with it. does anyone have any step by steps to aid me in troubleshooting? the cover of the vst where the float lies looks a little hard to get off and once inside, i have not much clue what i am looking at other than i can recognize the float. i dont want to tear anything up fo sho and i have a big tourney this weekend
my motor is the 98 faststrike 115 v4 j115glecm.
from what i have learned i have found the vst pump as well which is attached to the cover of the vst, and some lines coing out of the cover.
thanks again for all yalls help

To be able to remove the top, you need to pull the complete assembly off the front of the motor. It is held on by 4 bolts with large washers behind them. It rests on stand offs on the motor. You can get a gasket and VST rebuild kit from your local dealer. A shop manual will be invaluable for this process. Way, Way too much typing for this.

Don't do pay pal and the factory manual is very specific in the steps. Other off the shelf manuals ie; Sealoc, clymers are not they are based on the complete model line for many motors.

Your local BRP dealer can order one for you.
