Fish-n-Ski Windshield to Bass Boat Windshields

I am getting ready to start a restore on a Cajun Fish-n-Ski. Has anyone switched from the walk-thru style windshields found on most Fish-n-Ski's to two windshields found on bass boats? I would prefer it look more "fish" than "ski," and the smaller profile will making fishing easier.

I found windshields that will work, but I am most concerned about how it will look. The consoles on Fish-n-Ski's sit further forward than on a bass boat. Is it going to look funny? Should I just stick with the current one?

I think it will look fine, as long as the windshield(s) fit the contour of the boat. I was going to do the same thing to my boat, but opted for the walk thru style for those cold mornings with the kids.

I've always wondered the same thing. I was interested in doing that but also liked the walk through for cold mornings and evening. I put in a snap in cover to close the front off when it is really cold. I decided to keep the same windsheild and I just tinted it. I put a dark tint like bassboat windshields and I really like the look. Hope someone posts pictures.

The only concerns I have with the walk thru vs. the dual windshields, is the dual windshields are normally plexi glass, vs. the walk thru windshields are normally glass. You can't get too wild with the jigs and such, or bad things will happen. Not that plexi glass can't be busted, but I think you would have a bigger mess and more of a problem replacing a walk thru windshield.

My parents had dual windshields put on their WINNER fish n ski when they bought it back in 87 or 88..

    I think it looks slick.

Here is another member's WINNER with the walk though.

Granted, we are talking about different boats... Still might help you..
