    broken stringer question

i've got a 2001 929 with a broken stringer once i have the motor off and everything stripped and ready to pull the top if you had assistance from a couple of friends (that really don't know whats going on) that would be basically listening to me (have a good idea of how this all works just have never tackled one). how long would it take to have all of the internal work FINISHED and cap dropped down and secured. all the exterior cosmetic work can wait

Howd you break one stringer, and how do you know its broke?

As far as time, calculate the worst case scenerio and then double it or triple it, That should put you in the ball park.

I'm not goofin around, I'm serious.

    Good luck

So are you replacing just one stringer? I am stumped aswell on how you break just one stringer? Time frame.... depends on how much free time you have and hopefully you dont get burnt out then it takes alot longer . Pictures would help.

    Re: broken stringer question (erienightrider)

About 15 yrs ago I had a Terry 6.3 that I took the cap off and did stringers floor and a transom It took me 3 weeks. Had a freind help me with the glass work . I did the rest myself . One week of that was just to put it back together . A lot of late nights . Last winter I pick up a Venture F/S and just replaced 1/2 of the floor and it took me 2 weeks ( Not as young I as I use to be ) Not as many late nights
