    oooooooooooo... not rusty... and I might be off... but they are EXPENSIVE........... I am thinking about 250-300 or so.... maybe more.....

    They sure aren't cheap. I replaced one on my old 200 Vindicator about 3yrs ago. And if I remember right ,it cost over $300.00 and I put it in myself. Mine was fried,but if yours is not rebuild it.

    As long as you did not bang on it with a ball pein hammer and that the magnets inside are OK, it should be inexpensively rebuildable. Be sure to change out the bottom plate and bushing assy. and that will be well worn if the starter is noisey.

    Parts are available thru a dealer or an alternator-starter repair shop.

    Or look on ebay.... I bought a used one for 50 bucks.... works pretty good... not new, but does the job.

    there is a guy here in town that does a lot of starter and alternator rebuilds
    and hes been doin it a long time so im havin it done now
