How To Seal Off A Thru Hull Hole?

Does anyone have a good or proven idea to seal off a below water line thru hull hole?
I am reconfiguring my livewell system and by doing so I have an extra hole in the transom I don’t need. I thought of taking two solid rubber stoppers, drilling a hole in each, and using stainless steel hardware to bolt them into each end of the existing thru hull. I would also use marine sealant for good measure. Comments? Are there any other, easier ways to do this?

    Thank you,

Apparently only produced for a couple of years.
Anyone else own one of these?
    Would like more information.

how big is the hole?? I have used this twice and it's worked well both times, if the hole is around 1" or so, go to home depot of lowes in the plumbing department, look for a blank off for a kitchen sink, they are chrome plated and have a long threaded shaft with a nut on it, put a little 5200 behind it and tighten it up.

    That's awesome!

It will look a lot nicer than a rubber cork!

Thank you for the great idea!
