Removing metal trim strips for carpet removal?

Hey guys, I imagine this question has been dealt with before, but what is the best way to remove the metal trim that is over the carpet around my deck? Im planning to replace my carpet and want to do it the correct way. The metal trim has those metal grommets or whatever you call em holding it in... Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If it is a Champion, you simple drill out the rivets with a 1/8" bit. Be careful not to bend the trim when removing it.

When I removed my trim, I was able to drill the rivets out with a 1/8 bit. My problem was while I was working on removing the glue residue, I accidently ran over them in my hurry to buy more supplies. I found Taco Metals sells different size trim strips and on their website it will tell you the dealer in Pa. Good luck and look around before you back up!

I think that most of them Champion ,Bass Cat are all riveted trim.

Just drill them out and when your done put new rivets in.

FYI try to use stainless rivets when on the new install.

Honestly, If it were me, I would stay with aluminum. If you ever need to drill them out in the future, SS rivets are an absolute bear to drill out, especially if you have a bunch of them.

I would stay with aluminum also. I've never had an issue with any of my trim.
