Stainless vs. Galvanized Bolts for Trailer

Went to the hardward store to buy stainless steel lag bolts to rebunk my trailer. The Stainless Steel ones I need are $1.59 per bolt. I need 30 bolts all together to do all the bunk brackets. That's almost $50 for hardware. I noticed galvanized is somewhat cheaper. How much of a drop in corrosion resistence am I looking at if I use galvanized bolts ?? Any imput will be greatly appreciated before I spend my money. I don't mind spending the money if they (stainless) will preform that much better.

When I did mine I went Stainless but I found them on sale but it still ran about a buck a screw. I prefer stainless over galvanized, don't know why just do.

If you go SS over galvy use grease or Neverseize on the threads.
Stainless like to gall without lube making threading the nuts down difficult.

I pretty much knew I would get SS as the best option. Stainless it is !! Thank you gentlemen My origianl bunks used only hex lag screws that screwed from under the trailer bracket up partially into the bunk board without going through. It seemed pretty solid this way. None of the screws were loose upon pulling them out. This way I don't have to spend more money on SS nuts
