Plan on using Marine Tex to fix a gauge about 12" long from a fence post. Question is, after the Marine Tex is applied, do I need to clear coat or use any other sealer? Forgive me if this has been answered before, I cannot find anything about what do do AFTER the Marine Tex. Thanks guys.
Forgot to mention, this is on the bottom of the boat. Bottom is white.
You do not need to do anything else unless you want to cosmetically match it to the original gel. Marine-Tex is waterproof and permanent.
my project boat hull is silver and i had the same repair and i sprayed it over with some metallic silver spray and a coat of canned clear coat and you can hardly even see where it was patched and its held up for 2 yrs so far,Im sure you could mix up a thin layer of clear epoxy to go over it also if you wanted.
