power trim acting crazy. 92 johnson fast stike.

ok my power tilt and trim started acting up on me yesterday. trimmed up and down just fine unloading the boat. went to the sand bar to soak for the day after getting situated i tried to trim the motor down and it would not do so. tried all the switches in the boat. none worked. at this point the motor would trim up just not down. finally decide to head back in. thought i was going to just have to idle all the way and as i was taking off it trimmed down for me. so i headed back to the launch trimming it up and down as necessary. seemed to be working fine. get to the launch to load up on the trailer and now it will trim down but not back up. tried all the switches in the boat with no luck. anyone know what this may be? it obviously can be a switch beings all the switches on the boat are doing the same thing right?

If you disconnect the harness at the motor and try it only using the motor's switch then that will tell you where the issue is.

Inspect the connections at the sockets for the relays.
