I surrently have 7/16" ply on my decks on my 17' spectrum (tracker). I need to redo the deck. I was thinking about using aluminum. Can I use 11 gage? I believe it is 1/8th hick or 1/4" thick? Thanks for the help in advance.

Really depends on how may supports ya have under the deck.. I would suggest 1/4"..
As previously mentioned, it is all about the underlaid supports. It would add significant amount of weight to add much more than .090 aluminum. It may be a little more flexible, and will depend on overall use and spans between bulkheads, etc. Adding underlays (supports) may be more accommidating than putting alot of weight. Hope for a great start to a new year!
Is the aluminum expensive to make a deck extension? I have a tracker that I want to expand the deck and was planning on just using wood but curious what aluminum costs? Also, if you dont own a wleder can you rivet the pieces together?

Here in Va. we use old street signs from the scrap-yard. Its like a $1.00 lb. So pending on how many/much signs you need, it is better than buying new aluminum that can be real expensive. If you have alot of bracing the signs work great and won't rust or rot. Good luck..
