    glue remover

    Been useing this to remove the old glue when replacing carpet. Works great!!! a little $$ but worth it http://www.shop3m.com/62466749...eaner

    OK.. here is a secret I will pass on to all those who use contact glue. If you get glue on something you didnt intend it for or on your new carpet, use can use charcoal lighter fluid on a rag. Its cheap and works really fast. Been using it for three years doing carpet jobs and havent found anything better... just squirt some on your rag and rub it into the glue; doesnt matter if its dried or not it will come out.

    M.E.K you can get it at Home Depot. Wear a breathing mask.

    Acetone works good to at taking the old glue off of fiberglass after you peel the old carpet up. Used it on my Ranger when I did my carpet a few years ago.
