I was told to ask my question here....the triton guys are telling me that triton never made a flipping deck insert. My boat has two brackets that look to be where the flipping deck slid in......I ran into a guy at a tournament and he told me he thinks he was the original owner and that he had the insert for the boat when he owned it....Any ideas of where i can locate one or somewhere that may have made an aftermarket one?
most people just make them theirselves or a boat repair shop would probably make one for you. If you already have some brackets on there then somebody probably had one on their before. Marine grade plywood covered with glass and carpet.
I built one for my '92 Champion. I made a storage box that fit and came up even with the deck. I used 1/2" treated plywood with 2x2 framing inside and covered it all in fiberglass and carpeted the top to match the boat. Now I have more storage and a flipping deck. It fits very snug and has never moved any at all.
