Anyone used or heard of this product? It's an acrylic polymer that re coats old gel coats . They say it looks new without compounding and buffing.

Work is for people who don\'t know how to hunt and fish !!
Run away from products like this! Seriously. Poliglow, New Glass. They all will make your boat look decent, not great, but decent. Problem is, the stuff tends to flake off, is streaky, drips will be permanent. Basically, they are a little tricky to apply, so you have to be very careful. The worst part is if you decide you want to get rid of it, it a a royal pain to remove those coatings. It's like glue. They have special cleaners for it, but it's still difficult to completely remove.
I'd only recommend them if you have a boat with really bad fiberglass finish that cannot be restored with wet sanding, polishing, and wax or sealer.
It is an acrylic base, in the same family as Future Floor wax.
It will only make your gelcoat shine if it is in very good condition already. If there is any slight oxidation/dull spots, it will still have to be sanded or compounded off before using the product. Otherwise you'll still have the same dull looking gelcoat, just with a coat of hard wax on it.
I bought this product in the beginning, I did three test strips, one with wet sanding and buffing, one with this stuff and another with some cheaper stuff. No contest, don't waist your money, wet sanding and buffing are the only way to go.
