I have a minor chip the size of my pinky fingernail on the side of my hull. I called BassCAt and got smail amount of GelCoat Silver that matches my boat perfectly. I have added about 4 coats to fill in the slightly recessed chipped. In doing so the 4 coats/layers has expanded to about size of a quarter rising above the hulls surface. It's difficult to spot if you know know where it is.
1. To complete the job how do I go about sanding down the area flush?
2. After wet sanding the area what paper and how do I wet sand?
3. After sanding down area will it leave noticeable scuff or dull mark? If so do I just polish the area to bring to shiny luster finish?
4. I was told the final thing to do is cover small area with fingernail polish. Is that true?
I am hoping you all can help me beat the boat rash blues!![]()
