Any of you ever paint the engine cover? I'd like to paint mine and add some newer decals to it to freshen it up a little. Not sure on how to do it or what kind of paint to use. Any help would be appreciated!

What engine do you have Paul? The reason iask is you can purchase paint from your dealer for you engien to match exactly. I know OMC/BRP does this and I'm sure Mercury does...heck they only have one color!!!!
Talk to Darryl at Iguanagrafix or Crazy Elvis to make you up a set of decal for your engine. Both have done great jobs in the past and I'm sure you will eb pleased.
As far as painting the cowl there is a post, I believe in this forum, that coves that topic. If not it's not that hard at all. as long as you don't have any damage to the cowl you can scuff it with scotch brite, Shoot it with a primer, Wet sand to get nice and smooth, May need ot primer once or twice again with wet sanding inbetween then shoot her with the color of your choice!! You can also head to an auto body dhop and they mey do it for even cheaper??
Good luck!
