    Removing 2nd Console Question

I have a 1988 Stratos 181-PRO dual console. I'd like to recover space taken up by 2nd console. Is there any downside to cutting out (it appears molded in) and removing it? If it's OK to remove, what's the best tool for the job?

    Thanks...Jim

Don't know if it is okay to move, but I would say that any fiberglass cutting, a side angle grinder with a cutting disc is the best.

I'd use a sawzall with a 20 TPI blade. It cuts fiberglass pretty smooth.
