    Re: carpet replacement (mytime)

Its not hard work... but its alot of work. Make sure you learn how to make your cuts properly before you try it and ruin your carpet. Keep the carpet going in the same direction. Being this is your first time, I would suggest carpet glue on everything except the lids... use contact cement for those. The glue will take alot longer to dry, therefor letting you make adjustments as needed. The contact cement drys very fast, but is better. I only use contact cement, but I have done a few boats, so I got kinda good at it. Make sure you get as much of the old glue up as possible. I would also suggest removing al the lids, ect... strip the boat and get all that stuff out the way. get alot of new razor blades, carpet dulls them fast... change them very offten. Search this site for carpet cuts ect and you will find all you need.
