Has anyone used tuff coat or herculiner on a hatch lid? I have heard that it can get soft in hot sun. Anyone know?

I used Herculiner on an aluminum boat inside. I did not prep it correctly and it pealed up in about a week. It is good stuff if prepped correctly.![]()

I used Herculiner on my boat...good stuff...but messy enough I am not in a big hurry to use it again.
never heard of it getting soft...
I've got herculiner in the bed of my longbox chev. i did it nearly 4 years ago. Prepped properly and the only scrape through the stuff is from an evinrude 150 skeg as we hand bombed it out of the bed. Did the rocker panels of the truck too and they've held up just perfectly.

Never used those but just finished coating my trailer with Bondo's Truck Guard bed liner. It is high gloss and not rough (no sand) like the others I have seen. Don't know about durability, Like I said just did it but it is shinny and looks good will post pics soon.![]()
I did a 1992 Kenner 17ft Center Console with Tuff Coat in light marine gray. Boat originally had carpet that had gotten pretty bad. A lot of elbow grease in the prep but boat turned out perfect. Many of my friends that have fished in this boat since 1992 were sure I had bought a new boat. PS use the primer. In one spot I ran out and coat wouldn't stick till I got more. Would highly recommend the product.
